About Global Pursuit
The biggest news at Global Pursuit, your favorite store at the shore, is that it is under new ownership! Angela and Derick Marsh are the enthusiastic new owners, taking over the reins held by Andy and Lynn Moceri who have retired after 30 years in retail. The Moceris are happy to have found the perfect new owners, and will be assisting in the transition throughout the 2010 season. Angela grew up locally, worked in Stone Harbor as a teen and she and her family have owned various businesses in Cape May County. Derick grew up in Germany and has many years of experience in running businesses. The Marsh family is committed to continuing the same tradition of excellence that has made Global Pursuit an iconic shopping experience when visiting Stone Harbor.
We will continue to carry the brands that have become hallmarks of the store, such as Vineyard Vines, Ugg, Lacoste, Reef, Patagonia, Horny Toad, Taylorbyrd, RayBans, Maui Jim, Quiksilver, Lucy Love and Billabong. As in the past, when you stop in , you'll find unique new brands that will sure to become favorites like Vibram Five Fingers, Joules, Ethos Paris and JPK Handbags. We are excited to be carrying Nike 6.0 apparel, one of a handful of stores on the east Coast to do so.
In 2007 Global Pursuit announced its membership in the non profit 1% for the Planet. In 2010, Global Pursuit will continue its membership, a huge commitment for new owners. It requires a business to base donations on GROSS year end revenues. 1% for the Planet shows you are "green" with a purpose and not merely paying lip service to a trend. The first sponsorship Angela will undertake is the 2nd Annual Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival to be held at and to benefit The Wetlands Institute on Friday June 4th.
Global Pursuit has always offered a unique shopping experience that is completely different from the impersonal warehouse feel of a giant chain. The selection and value of the merchandise makes shopping fun and will appeal to all ages. Shoppers can look forward to a variety of promotional events this year, Girls' Night, Phillies Homecoming, and Trunk Shows for Ray Bans, Bill's Khaki's, Vineyard Vines and Patagonia. Although under new ownership, what remains the same at Global Pursuit will be exceptional service, eclectic variety, and ecological thoughtfulness which adds up to a shop where you can feel good about looking great.
