“Jake’s on 96th”, a Life is good® “Genuine
Neighborhood Shoppe”
Coming mid May 2008, Andy
& Lynn Moceri of Global Pursuit are pleased to
announce the opening of “Jake’s on 96th”, a Life is
good® “Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe” devoted entirely to
the popular “optimistic” line of clothing and
accessories.
All of the loyal Life is good® fans, who always picked
up the latest designs at Global Pursuit, will
appreciate finding favorite items and so many new ones
too, in a space that can showcase the whole line.
Life is good® was born at a street fair in Boston as
two young brothers, Bert and John Jacobs (that’s where
the stick figure’s name Jake comes from), finally had
success selling a tee shirt design people loved. They
brought the designs to a clothing trade show in the mid
90’s and that’s when Global Pursuit jumped on board.
The image of Jake eating an ice cream cone displayed in
the store’s window on 96th St. was an instant success.
Since then, the brand has grown to include sportswear,
house wares, dog products and beach toys. The new
store, Jake’s on 96th at 229 96th St. should allow
customers to really see all that’s available from this
great line in a happy setting that will fit the brand
and its’ philosophy of spreading optimism.
The owners of Life is good® early on committed to share
their success with those in need, specifically kids
facing unfair challenges. Their festival programs such
as Pumpkin Fest have raised over 3 million dollars in
just a few years and will now be distributed through
the recently formed Life is good kids Foundation. 100%
of the proceeds from these Festivals and sales of
t-shirts made specifically for the event go to the
Foundation.
These products will be available at Jake’s on 96th too
and we at Global Pursuit are happy to expand our
philosophy of corporate giving to a new store as well.
The store is located at 229 96th St and will open in
mid May. For more information, call Global Pursuit at
