Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival coming to the Wetlands June 12th, 2009
Wetlands Institute and Global Pursuit partner to host nationally recognized Film Festival

On
Friday, June 12th, Global Pursuit and the Wetlands Institute will host a collection of inspiring and award winning short films covering topics such as Surfing, Climbing, Global Warming, Recycling, Turtles, Cartoons and more! The films, assembled from the nationally recognized Wild and Scenic Film Festival collection, are on tour and are stopping at the Wetlands for one night only. Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dessert and a fascinating evening learning how motivation and a small idea can turn into something that will positively affect the world we live in.
The evening is sponsored by Patagonia and Global Pursuit as part of their commitment to
One Percent for the Planet. All proceeds from the Festival will go to the
Wetlands Institute, an approved beneficiary of One Percent Funds.
“Last year’s Trash Fish dinner was a huge success as a fundraiser, and everyone had a great time,” said Lynn Moceri of Global Pursuit. “This year we wanted to do something different, and continue to keep everyone’s interest piqued with what we might do next.”
The event, scheduled for Friday, June 12th from 6pm to 10pm, will sell only 100 tickets through the Wetlands Institute. For more information on the Festival, call the Institute at 609.368.1211, email us at
