Life is good
Life is good has placed social responsibility at the very heart of the business. Co-founders and owners Bert and John Jacobs believe that the foundation of the life is good brand is optimism and that the company exists to spread its optimistic message and leverage the full power of its brand and business to positively improve individuals and communities wherever it does business.
Since 2003, the primary vehicle for accomplishing life is good's social mission has been life is good Festivals. These good old fashioned outdoor events bring communities together to feel good and do good. The festivals are a unique and innovative means to raise major awareness and major funds for select charities. To date, over $1.2 million has been raised and donated to help children facing unfair challenges.
Beginning in 2007, life is good Festival fund raising in more than 20 communities nationwide will be donated to our newly established Life is Good Kids Foundation. In turn, the Foundation will distribute 100% of funds received from these festivals to select non-profits supporting underserved children. The foundation will focus its support on innovative and effective uses of play to strengthen the social and emotional development of children, especially those recovering from the trauma of exposure to violence, poverty, and natural disasters.
Coming mid May 2008, Andy & Lynn Moceri of Global Pursuit, are pleased to announce the opening of “Jake's on 96th”, a Life is good® “Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe” devoted entirely to the popular “optimistic” line of clothing and accessories.
